How to connect the thermometer to the Mi Home app:
Open the Mi Home app, or install it to your smartphone. You can scan QR code below to open the Mi Home app (this is an Europian version):
In the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, tap "+" on the upper right, and then follow prompts to add your device. Make sure the Bluetooth connection is enabled on your smartphone, if so, you will see the thermometer ready to connect. If you cannot connect, make sure that your smartphone is placed close to the thermometer, and the thermometer is works (the battery is installed properly and display showing current temperature and humidity).

The thermometer is powered by a CR2032 battery, which lasts approximately one year.

Really good and long battery life. This is written after having them on for months. Bluetooth range is pretty impressive too, all things considered. Very handy devices of you need to keep an eye on ensuring things are kept dry in a container, without having to open it!
