Please note: this sensor only work with Apple HomeKit and Aqara home APP or HomeAssistant, not work with Mijia APP.

Unlike PIR motion sensors, such presence sensor will detect what somebody in the room even if the person is not moving. As result, you should no more have situation when bathroom light turns off because motion sensor did not detect movement, or living room light turned off when you're watching TV and not moving. This item currently does not supporting by Mijia app, but here you can see the example how to smart devices of different brands can work together.

By the reviews, this new FP2 version detects presence almost instantly, while FP1 versionFP1 version has some delat. Aldo the design is slightly changed.

On other hand, presence detector requires power supply and wire (you need to connect it using the USB-C cable that is in the box), and also it has much bigger size than PIR motion sensors (but, does not require to change the battery).
