The advantages of MESH equipment compared to Wi-Fi equipment.

● MESH devices are connected through a mesh gateway. Even if many MESH devices are connected to network through mesh gateway at the same time, they will not occupy too much bandwidth and do not affect the response speed; Wi-Fi devices can be directly connected to your home network, but the more Wi-Fi devices connected, the more bandwidth, the slower the response speed. Therefore, Wi-Fi is suitable for networking control of fewer devices, such as desk lamps, ceiling lamps, etc., and MESH is suitable for controlling multiple devices together, such as bulbs, downlights, and spotlights.

● Multiple MESH devices can be quickly connected to the network through a mesh gateway at the same time (currently up to 10 devices can be found each time), but Wi-Fi devices need to be manually paired and connected one by one.

This is how the Mesh Gateway Hub works:

Each Mesh Gateway Hub has Wi-Fi / Bluetooth range of up to 10m, without any wall as obstruction.
The connection works in this manner: The Spotlight is connected (best to pair on phone Yeelight APP by standing below the Spotlight) to the Gateway via Bluetooth BLE. The Gateway is connected to the 2.4g internet bandwidth via Wi-Fi / cable.
Subsequently, the Mesh Gateway Hub which is connected via Wi-Fi / cable can be connected with AI Voice Control Ready Devices such as Google Assistant, Amazon Ech (Alexa).

Q: What is the compatibility request about M2 spotlight/downlight?

A: Support for devices with BT and Wi-Fi functions, Android 4.4 and above, iOS 9.0 and above system

Q: Can I use these lights independently?

A: Must use with BT MESH gateway devices, such as Yeelight Mesh Gateway Hub - YLWG01YL (Not Support Mijia Multifunctional Gateway Hub and Aqara Gateway HubAqara Gateway Hub).

Q: How to connect the Mijia APP?

Download the APP on the Google Play or APP Store

(If APP connection fails, please open the APP setting and switch the region to China, then reconnect.)

Open the gateway hub to connect the APP, search and add other nearby devices according the APP prompt.

Q: I want to RESET the M2 spotlight/downlight, but how?

A: Turn off and on repeatably for 5 times with switch button until the light flashes, and it will automatically restart after 5 seconds and the white light present means the reset finished.

Q: Cannot search the lights when adding, what should I do?

Make sure the MESH light resets successfully.
Make sure the gateway hub connected with Wi-Fi APP.
When adding devices, please open the BT mode on your phone.
Get your phone and gateway close to the MESH light when connecting.

Q: Where should I install the Gateway?

A: Suggested that the MESH Gateway should be installed on the middle position around the lights.

Q: How about the transmission distance between the lights?

A: Max. 8 meters.
